The Australian Government is one of our biggest institutional donors. It has funded CARE International in Vietnam in several projects through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
The highlights are the Women’s Economic Empowerment through Agricultural Value Chain Enhancement (WEAVE) project, the Ethnic Minority Women’s Empowerment (EMWE) project, the Integrated Community-based Adaptation in the Mekong Delta (ICAM) project (2012-2015). Recently, the Australian Government has also funded CARE in Vietnam in its work to reduce gender based violence in the world of work and improve labour rights of female workers.
